International Workshop (February 2008)
The event will be directed by an international scientific committee and has found the official support of Città di Torino, Provincia di Torino, Regione Piemonte, Politecnico di Torino, SITI, Parco del Po
Workshop for phd students and professionals, aimed to develop an integrated design for a sustainable city at the various scales: urban, social and architectonic (focused on the urban area "Basse di Stura" chosen in agreement with the City of Torino).

Events before, during and after the UIA Congress
4 exhibitions, 1 round-table, 4 meetings and 4 movie-events at the Mole Antonelliana from November 2007 to November 2008 about the image of the city through science-fiction, movies, comics, videos, advertising.

Two volumes casket in two languages (Italian/English).
1st volume: Architettour, 26 Architectural walks in Torino, 3rd edition updated with the new architectures built in Torino for the 2006 Winter Olympic Games.
2nd volume: Contemporary Architecture itineraries in Piedmont, 1800 and 1900. Collection of architectural thematic itineraries of the whole Piedmont territory.

Guided Tours to the architecture of Torino and Piedmont, with thematic itineraries. Architects, students and tourist guides especially trained will accompany visitors with the aim of transmitting the Torino and Piedmont architecture, developing themes that will provide with a complex and organic vision of the territory and deepening areas or projects.

At the end of the daily working sessions inside the Lingotto Conference Center, guests will discover Torino nightlife along Po riverbanks, during three different nights liven up by spectacular events and fascinating parties expressly organized (June 30, July 1 and 2).
The path, that ideally connects Lingotto Congress Center to the inner city, will unwind itself through the numerous spots located on the riverbanks. Restaurants, bars, little shops, rowing and tennis clubs: locations that narrate an important and emotional part of Torino architectural history.
Feel free to take a walk through the beautiful alleys that connect all the locations, it's breathtaking! Otherwise Valentino e Valentina boats will be at your disposal and will provide free transportation among the several docks along the riverbanks.
Exhibits, displays, concerts, cocktails parties, shows, lectures, tours, artistic performances: Architecture overflows!
Sponsors are welcomed inside the buildings where they will organize special events for the Congress guests in an informal way.
