Information on Privacy, article 13 of Legislative Decree 196/2003, regarding the processing of sensitive data
Pursuant to Legislative Decree 196/2003, regarding the protection of persons and other parties in relation to the processing of personal details, you are informed that your personal data, collected by the "Istituto di Cultura Architettonica" (I.C.Ar.) 2008 srl, shall be used in full respect of the principles of correctness, lawfulness and transparency and safeguard your privacy and rights. In particular, pursuant to article 13 of the aforesaid decree, we wish to inform you of the following; 1) The processing of data will be carried out by means of automated filing within the computer system owned or used by the Istituto di Cultura Architettonica (I.C.Ar.) 2008 srl, for purposes concerning the XXIII UIA World Congress of Architecture Turin 2008 and related services. 2) The provision of personal details is necessary in order to make use of accessory services on the XXIII UIA World Congress of Architecture website, such as gaining access to exclusive content areas and value-added information, the use of on-line data bases and so on, email or postal receipt of assistance and support on how to use the site and its services, email or postal receipt of information on new events organized by the Istituto di Cultura Architettonica (I.C.Ar.) 2008 srl, email or postal receipt of information or publicity material in relation to the XXIII UIA World Congress of Architecture Turin 2008 or from advertisers, partners and sponsors. 3) The provision of personal details is necessary in order to use accessory web services available either on or through the website. Refusal to provide personal details carries no penalty other than barring access to accessory services made available by the Istituto di Cultura Architettonica (I.C.Ar.) 2008 srl. 4) Should permission to process personal details subsequently be revoked, all data will be deleted and membership to the portal owned by the Istituto di Cultura Architettonica (I.C.Ar. )2008 will be cancelled, at the same time access to all connected services will be interrupted. 5) The owner of processing rights is the Istituto di Cultura Architettonica (I.C.Ar.) 2008 srl., via di S. Maria dell'Anima, 10 - 00186 Rome 6) The data collected may be passed on to: - allied or holding companies within the group; - public or private bodies for the fulfilment of obligations provided for by law; - other advertising companies or other companies to whom the user, whilst using the web pages or newsletter on the Istituto di Cultura Architettonica (I.C.Ar.) 2008 srl portal, specifically states his wish to provide with his personal details in order to receive information. Details may be transferred abroad, subject to permission and pursuant to the limits stated in article 42 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 7) You are informed that you may, at any time, exercise your rights towards the owner of the processing rights, in accordance with article 7 of 196/2003, which for your convenience has been reproduced in its entirety below; Legislative Decree n. 196/2003 Article 7. Rights of access to personal details and other rights 1. The person concerned has the right to obtain confirmation of the existence or non of personal details regarding his or her person, even if these have not yet been recorded, and to be informed of the fact in an intelligible manner. 2. The person concerned has the right to obtain information pertaining to: a) the provenance of personal details; b) processing purposes and methods; c) the applied logic in the instance of processing carried out using electronic means; d) the name and address of the owner, people in charge and designated representative in accordance with article 5, comma 2; e) the parties and categories of parties to whom the personal data may by conveyed or who may have knowledge of such data in view of their role as designated representative within the state of Italy, as person in charge or appointee. 3. The person concerned has the right to: a) the revision, correction or where called for, integration of details; b) the deletion, transformation in anonymous form or the freezing of details which are processed unlawfully, including those not requiring storage in relation to the purposes for which the details were originally collected and processed; c) demonstration of the fact that the operations stated in points a) and b) have been brought to the attention, also with regards to contents, of those parties to whom the details have been passed on or conveyed, except in the event that such a fulfilment of duty should be impossible or should entail means which are clearly out of all proportion to the rights in question. 4. The person concerned has the right to object, totally or in part: a) for legitimate reasons, to the processing of his or her personal details, even though pertinent to the purpose of data collection; b) to the processing of his or her personal details for the purposes of receiving advertising or direct sales materials or for the completion of market research or information of a commercial nature. |
