A steady stream of architecture: on three consecutive summer nights (June 30 and July 1-2, 2008) the banks of the Po will be animated by a great summer celebration.

In a line along the banks of the river that ideally connects the Lingotto, seat of the XXIII UIA World Congress Torino 2008, to the city center (the 2 kilometers from Torino Esposizioni to Piazza Vittorio Veneto) there will be a series of entertainment events, some in clubs, others in sporting circles, restaurants, esplanades and other locales that tell the story of architecture in Turin. International architecture exhibits, national houses, debates, projections, concerts, cocktails, dances, performances, tours and presentations: a steady stream of architecture.

June 30, the River
Starring the riverside for the evening, with the nexus at the Castello del Valentino, where a series of shows begins at 7:30 p.m.: Casa Capriata 1954-2008 // Transmitting the Industrial City // Peking 2008: projects for reutilization of Olympic architecture. Beijing-Turin Design Studio // Cities and architecture in China. Three shows from the School of Architecture of Tsinghua University, Beijing. At 9 p.m. a performance of the Concerto Grosso of the San Marco Orchestra and Choir - Friuli Venezia Giulia Gospel Choir. At the National Museum of the Automobile - the seat of Torino Esposizioni - special evening opening of the exhibit entitled Trilogy of the Automobile. Velocity and the show Ferrari Architecture in Maranello. The Medieval Center and the Olivetti exhibit, Olivetti. Una bella società, will be open until 11 p.m. at the Fine Arts Society (curated by Torino 2008 World Design Capital). The evening continues in crescendo with the exhibit and events of Gurlino Life at the Circolo Canottieri Esperia and Testimoni saranno i muri (Florim Night) at The Beach, featuring a party, a show and a seven hour interview with Hans Ulrich Obrist.

July 1, the Streets
The museums of the city of Turin will stay open until 11 p.m., and from 6 p.m. on there will be a series of exhibits and openings of architecture shows in various locations in the center of town: the 5 locations of the City designed by architects itinerary include architectural drawings by Michelangelo at the Palazzo Reale, a large exhibit featuring the architecture of the Oscar Niemeyer at the bastioni di Porta Palazzo, another large show on the Architecture of Turkey at Palazzo Bertalazoni di San Fermo, Slovak architecture at the Ancient Cloisters, Spanish architecture at the Regional Museum of Natural Sciences, Russian architecture at the Archives in piazza Mollino and Japanese architecture at the Royal Cavalry stables, the Maneggio Chiablese della Cavallerizza Reale.
And that's not all: the piazze del Piemonte show is at Palazzo Lascaris, French architecture is featured in piazza Carignano and women's architecture at the National Library in piazza Carlo Alberto.
At the same time, there will be openings at the member galleries of the Torino Art Galleries association, which explore the relationship between art and architecture in 16 exhibits installed in 14 galleries, while the Conservatory presents a free jazz concert. The party is on outside Turin as well: from 7 p.m. on, the historic center of Chieri will host Chieri Fiber, an event linking the medieval past, represented by the suggestive ancient ghetto and the fascinating terracotta decorated palazzi and churches, with the present, featuring the contemporary work of Fiber Art, garnished by lights and music ranging from classical to jazz.

July 2, AfterVille The Starchitecture Night
In the former OGR - Offi cine Grandi Riparazioni Ferroviarie (Railway Repair Yards),   the concert, AfterVille. The Show, and a screening of the short film AfterVille. The Movie, with the special evening opening of the show TO11.
