A Guide to Twentieth Century Piedmontese Architecture
1902-2006

At last, a guidebook dedicated to contemporary architecture in the Piedmont region.
The Guide documents the important architectural works realized during the twentieth century in the Piedmont, in chronological order (from the Exhibition of Decorative Arts (1902) to the 20th Winter Olympic Games, held in Turin in 2006) and with a clear theme: great events as the drivers and opportunities for affirmation for Turin and the Piedmont region, an occasion for exchanging ideas with different architects and architectural traditions.

In both Italian and English, realized with the support of the Piedmont Region, it is the official guide to the XXIII UIA World Congress Torino 2008, edited by Maria Adriana Giusti and Rosa Tamborrino.

Torino Tour - Turin Tour

The guide is designed to provide an original and alternative description of the city, pointing out public and private "temporary living spaces", chosen and interpreted according to changing criteria that are based on designer interiors, or "spontaneous" yet suggestive décor, or examples of artistic contamination. Not all the usual places, therefore, but those less well known, to be presented to tourists - and even more so to the city's inhabitants - who wish to discover a more unusual side of a post-industrial metropolis.

Second edition, updated to 2008, promoted and coordinated by the Order of Architects of Turin and realized with the support of the Turin Chamber of Commerce.
