"Velocità" is the second part of the "Trilogia dell'Automobile", an event dedicated to the history and evolution of the automobile and divided into three theme exhibits: "Novecento", "Velocità" and "Dream".
"Velocità" tells the story of man's continual striving for speed, for setting records, for reaching impossible goals. On view are past and contemporary cars, Grand Prix, F1, racing, record-breaking cars that have competed on the world's most famous circuits. A thrilling event for racing-buffs and others as well because speed is something that has always intrigued everyone, adults and children, experts and lay persons, F1 fanatics and ignorers of the sport. Because speed is self-challenge, competition, sometimes life or death, it's victory or loss, risk, courage, rashness but also intelligence and calculation... Because "a racing car is lovelier than the Victory of Samothrace".
