The exhibit is devoted to the manufacturing sector in which the town of Settimo Torinese has always been nationally famous: writing instruments.
The show, with displays by important sector companies (B.A.P. - Cesare Emiliano, Dema, Etafelt, Lecce Pen, Righella, Stilus and Universal), features historical and innovative products and is held out of doors as an integral part of urban décor.
Penna d'artista/Designer Pen - Pen Parej
From May to December 2008 the pen becomes an icon of the city, from time to time combined with events that will continue all year.
To illustrate this theme, 50 pens in high-density styrofoam more than two meters high were designed by artists, Fine Arts Academy students and students at the Settimo elementary and middle schools, and given an ironic slant. Starting in May these "totems" will be placed in various parts of Settimo, Turin and environs and afterwards auctioned off for charity.
