KIDS Projects -
When children's ideas become true
Children learn to understand their environment
June 29 -
July 3
Politecnico Torino Lingotto, Via Nizza 230 10 a.m - 7 p.m. Free admission Since 1991 'KIDS' Projects have taken place in different schools in North Rhine Westphalia, Germany. The intention is to encourage pupils to take care of their urban surroundings (buildings, streets, parks, squares etc.). The chamber of architects initiates projects in schools by asking the children for ideas for improvements. An architect/interior designer and/or landscape architect, children, teachers, parents, local politicians etc cooperate closely in considering the children's ideas and putting them into practice. The great variety of creative ideas leads to different processes where with only little money a situation is improved.
