Riccardo Bedrone

 
 
Riccardo Bedrone was born in Turin in 1946, getting his degree there in 1972.
From 1975 to 1985 he was alderman in the towns of Beinasco and Grugliasco (Turin Province). Since 2001 he has been president of the board of the Turin Order of Architects PPC. He is associate professor of Urban Planning and Technique on the Architecture Faculty at the Turin Polytechnic, where he teaches Urban and Territorial Policies in Italy and Europe and heads the Urban Design workshop at the Turin Architecture Faculty 2. He also teaches post-graduate courses in Territorial Planning and the Realty Market, Techniques for Environmental Planning and Evaluation and Cultural and Environmental Assets Management at COREP-Turin Polytechnic and Shared City Planning at the SEA in Turin. He has been a member of the editorial board of L'Architetto magazine and presided over the Italian section of the UIA (International Architects Union) at the National Architects Council. He is involved with tools for planning vast areas and integrated methods of territorial intervention in the European Community context. He has also concerned himself with architecture training, continuing education and practice and with quality design, aspects that culminated in the publication of Architecture Competitions. He is president of the XXIII World Architecture Congress UIA Torino 2008.
